I feel I can credit a brilliant first pregnancy and birth experience to Donna and The Studio team. I suffered pelvic pain during pregnancy but, with Donna's advice and adapted routines, I was supported to keep up with pilates right until the week before giving birth. Thanks to those pelvic floor muscles, labour was a doddle (well, almost!); despite nearly 3 hours of pushing, our baby girl was born without the need for any pain relief (no, not even a paracetemol) and everything pinged back within weeks!

Trish & I have been going to exercise classes since the seventies when she used to teach aerobics. We've tried all sorts of classes from 80 in a class downwards and over five counties.
We've been members of several Gyms and were founder members of Esporta where we first met Donna. Over the years we've come to realise that you don't need fancy gyms with jacuzzis and plasma screens, what you really need are really good instructors who can design and run good classes. The Studio is big enough to be viable but small enough to be personal, it is well equipped and offers the full range of classes catering for beginners through to advanced. Personally I wish I had discovered Pilates years ago, too many gyms teach muscle building whereas what we ageing men really need is core strengh and flexibility. Donna's classes are an ideal combination of professionalism and fun and we recommend them to all our friends.

'I've been a regular member of The Studio since it opened so when I found out I was pregnant I really didn't want to give up my classes and I didn't have to because the classes were adapted for me by the fantastic qualified staff so I could continue exercising safely.  Being able to keep up my classes throughout my pregnancy made me continue to feel really active, fit and well ready for the birth which being my fourth baby and 44 seemed like a big challenge made easier. Six weeks after the birth I was back to The Studio which helped me get back into shape quickly. (The pelvic floor clenches helped - alot!!) I would absolutely wholeheartedly recommend The Studio to anyone pregnant or not.'

Why not learn to Belly Dance
Whilst you still have a chance
Enjoy the rhythm, feel the vibe

That's the way to make you feel alive.

Exercise is the best thing you can do.

I have been going to classes at The Studio since it opened in 2010?

There are a variety of classes to suit everyone and I find this motivates me far more than going to the gym. I enjoy the structure of the sessions and the friendly atmosphere. The instructors are always motivated and knowledgeable in their field and are able to advise on relevant issues. At the same time they are flexible and always allow us to go at our own pace, whilst helping us to push ourselves just a little bit more to go beyond what we think we can do.

I have lost weight and have never been as fit or as toned as I am now. I have always suffered from back problems but after attending classes regularly, the pain has stopped and my back is much stronger.

The Studio is a great place for anyone who is looking to get fit and live a healthier life, whilst exercising in a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
