CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


Pilates Mixed Ability:
A mat based Pilates class suitable for people who have limited knowledge of the 'techniques of Pilates' to the person who has been involved in Pilates for a longer period.

Beginner Pilates:
A mat based Pilates class for people who wish to learn the techniques of Pilates. This class is also suitable for pregnant ladies.

RAW Pilates:
A mat based Pilates class suitable for people who have been attending Pilates regularly over a period of 3-6 months and wish to progress from the level already achieved to a more advanced level. This class is faster paced and may use small equipment such as the Foam Roller, weighted toning balls or bands. All equipment may be used as an awareness tool  or to increase the intensity of the class.

Stetch and chill:
This is a combination of fluid Stretches and Relaxation, that will help to cultivate a calm, focused and stress-free state of mind. It is designed to stretch and Relax the whole body.


Older Adult or Rehabilitation / Seated Seniors:

The essence of the Older Adult programme is the precision of movement with all joints optimally aligned. At the studio we hope to heighten your body awareness and give greater understanding of how your body works with the aim of promoting improved balance and coordination.

I can also help Clients that suffer from conditions such as Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Pagets' Disease of the bone,Hip and Knee Replacements etc to mobilise and strengthen with adapted Pilates Exercises.

Bellydance:
Bellydance is a celebration of all that is earthy and feminine. It is graceful and elegant, and you don't have to show your tummy!
Wonderful for working hips, buttocks, thighs, and stomach. Long-term benefits include: muscle toning, core strength, joint mobility and a growing affection for your body.

Lots of fun; come and try it for yourself in a safe and friendly environment!


Pregnancy and Pilates:
In the previous 12 months, the studio has catered for
12 pregnant ladies within the timetabled classes.
All instructors at the studio are qualified to teach pilates
and exercise to pregnant ladies at this special time.
We encourage you work at the right intensity and
monitor your exercise prescription throughout the class.
Training the pelvic floor is extremely important in
pregnancy and this is where we lay the most focus.

Body Sculpt:
Similar to Body balance. A fabulous conditioning class that will assist in burning calories and toning all parts of your body. This class consists of balance work for the core, Lunges and squats for toning  and a strong stretch section, before we head to the floor for abdominal work.. Class carried out in bare feet or socks.

Body Alive:  

A slightly more energetic class which combines toning and strengthening exercises in a functional way. It incorporates Pilates style mat work as well as standing conditioning work.
This class will consist of a warm up, upper and lower body toning, warm down and stretch. Class is carried out in bare feet or socks.
