Our Beginner Pilates classes offer you the opportunity to learn the techniques of Pilates, in a safe and secure environment where everyone works at the same level and progresses together each week. Beginner classes are also suitable for pregnant ladies and the older population.

Would you like flatter abdominals? Do you wish your arm or leg muscles were stronger or more toned? Are you looking to increase the flexibility in your spine so you can bend further or reach higher? If the answer is yes, then a mixed ability Pilates class is for you!

This mat based Pilates class is suitable for anyone with limited experience of Pilates to exercise alongside more experienced participants. All participants will be encouraged to work within their individual capabilities and limitations by having different levels; alternatives and preparation exercises offered throughout the class.

Foam Rollers, small weighted balls and other equipment is offered to increase the intensity or add Varity to the session.

Now that you know how to engage your core stability muscles and move your pelvis in and out of neutral spine, wouldn't you like to progress your bodies' ability to become stronger and yet more flexible? Would you like to burn calories at the same time and leave the class feeling fitter and more toned?

RAW Pilates is a dynamic, stronger paced class consisting of more challenging exercises that flow together in a smooth consistent way. Equipment may be used to increase the intensity.

 STRETCH & CHILL / YOGA

Looking to lose some pounds? Want to tone muscles and create a stronger, healthier looking Torso? Need to increase your fitness levels whilst having Fun?  If so Body Alive is the class for you.

Body Alive is a combination of low impact warm-up moves, body conditioning strengthening exercises and functional modern Pilates.

Once warmed up, we will progress using weighted balls to condition our bodies in a standing position using various forms of lunges and squats. The principles of Pilates are used throughout to ensure good technique and strong control of core muscles.

The last 30 minutes of the class is to complete abdominal and back strengthening work and finish with relaxation.

This class will raise your heart rate a little so expect to sweat a little, as it's the only way to burn calories!

Do you get out of bed and find you take time to unravel your self into a standing position? Are you stiff in your lower back, around your shoulders or hamstrings? Would you like to be more flexible, less tense and mentally more relaxed? Sound like what the Dr ordered?

This popular form of exercise suitable for anyone who is in need of lengthening muscles, mobilising and moving the spine, correcting Postural problems and having some 'time-out' for yourself!

All people of all ages and abilities come to these classes as modifications and adaptations are offered to anyone with special conditions from Hip replacements to Osteoporosis!

Want to alter your body shape, tone up and burn calories? Not interested in fussy choreography just strong body conditioning/Toning work?

Body Sculpt is the newest arrival to The Studio at 98 Staplegrove Road. This class involves a 30-minute section of standing, flowing Body conditioning followed by a 10-minute strong stretch section, which increases flexibility and toning. Finally a 20 minute session of abdominal work packaged together in an exciting, easy to follow work out that lets you chose how hard you wish to work.

This VERY popular class is a combination of RAW Pilates and Body conditioning.
